Cameron Parish Mugshots and Release
A mugshot is a booking photograph created during an arrest or custody process. It is not the release record. Cameron Parish Jail’s live feed has exposed image links for many current records, but at least one inspected entry used a missing-image placeholder. Photo availability therefore varies by record and must not be treated as a permanent Sheriff guarantee.
Release is a separate custody event. A booking-and-release record may state when Cameron Parish custody ended, the release category, the authority, and a destination or receiving agency. A 38th Judicial District Court docket may show bond, dismissal, sentence, probation, or commitment. The image cannot answer those questions. An old photo can remain online after the person has left jail, while a person without a public photo may still have been booked.

Cameron Parish Mugshot Sources
Match the image source to the custody system. The Sheriff controls Cameron Parish booking records. DPS&C controls state corrections records. A registry image belongs to a distinct statutory registry, not to a general released-person list. News and third-party copies are selective or stale and should only point back to an official record.

Commercial archives may also retain copies. Their labels, dates, identity matches, and custody claims are not official. No commercial mugshot publisher or removal vendor is linked or endorsed.
Cameron Parish Sheriff Booking Photos
The official Cameron Parish Inmates interface is a current-custody source. On July 20, 2026, inspected records displayed name, inmate ID, booking date and time, age, status, charges, bail data, arresting agency, and small or large image links. Those observations are time-stamped because fields and vendor behavior can change.
The Sheriff’s Recents product is labeled Weekly Arrest Report. It showed recent bookings marked IN-CUSTODY during the same inspection. A photo there is a recent-booking image, not a mugshot of a person proven released. No release date, release reason, 24-hour or 72-hour released filter, or post-release photo-retention period was verified.
Keep the image source tied to the record that displayed it. The current feed's inmate ID, booking time, status, bail, arresting-agency, and charge details can help separate similar names, but they still describe the booking and feed state. They do not supply the missing release time, release reason, authority, or destination. Request the booking photograph and release record as separate items so each can be traced to the Sheriff’s official file.

Note: A missing image or placeholder says nothing about whether Cameron Parish booked or released the person.
Cameron Parish Mugshots in the App
The Cameron Parish Sheriff has official iOS and Android OCV apps. Store descriptions advertise inmates, press releases, most wanted, and Weekly Arrest Report functions. The apps can expose booking photos where a source record has one. No separate released-person module or released-photo archive was found.
The official Android app listing documents the Sheriff’s current public-information functions.
The app provides another route to the same kinds of current inmate and recent-arrest material. Its presence does not extend the life of an image after a record leaves the live feed.
Request a Cameron Parish Booking Photo
When a current image has disappeared, ask the Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office for the photograph tied to the identified booking. As of the July 20, 2026 research date, the Louisiana Sheriffs’ Association identifies “Chris” Savoie as Sheriff. Chief Operations Officer Kayla Conner is listed as Custodian of Records. The published email is publicrequest@cameronso.org, and mail goes to P.O. Box 1250, Cameron, LA 70631.
- Identify the person with a full name, approximate booking date, and booking number if known. Avoid unnecessary sensitive identifiers.
- Request the associated booking photograph as a distinct existing record. Separately request the booking-and-release record if release confirmation is also needed.
- Ask for an electronic copy, all reasonably segregable public portions, and the legal basis for any withholding or redaction.
- Request a cost estimate before charges are incurred. Cameron Parish publishes no fixed booking-photo fee or guaranteed response time.
- Compare the returned image and identifiers with the official booking, release, and court records before drawing a conclusion.
Louisiana R.S. 44:31 supports public-record access subject to exceptions. R.S. 44:32 addresses inspection, reproduction, fees, and denial notices. Those provisions concern existing records. They do not require the Sheriff to create a new image or research a person’s case.
Cameron Release Photos in State Systems
A person transferred from Cameron Parish Jail into Louisiana corrections should be searched through DPS&C offender information and Louisiana VINELink. A state offender image, when actually displayed, belongs to the state record. It is not automatically the same image that Cameron Parish Jail created. A person who only had a short local booking may never appear in DPS&C data.
The Louisiana State Police registry is narrower still. It applies only to people with a statutory registration duty. It is not a Cameron Parish release list, and the presence or absence of a registry photo does not supply the complete custody timeline.

Use a registry image only with its official status and scope. Never label it as a general Cameron Parish booking-photo archive.
Cameron Mugshots in News Archives
The Cameron Parish Sheriff’s press-release and social channels may publish an arrest-related photo. Such posts are selective public communications. They do not form a complete booking-photo archive, and they do not prove that a person was later released. Record the publishing agency, post date, caption, and identifiers, then compare them with the Cameron Parish booking and court records.
Third-party roster archives and other aggregators can preserve an image after the official live record changes. That persistence does not make the copy current. A stale label can conflict with a later release, transfer, dismissal, or expungement order. Treat an archived image as a pointer to the agency that made the source record, not as the final word on custody or case status.
Use a simple source check before relying on any copy:
- Match the name, booking date, and booking number where available.
- Identify whether Cameron Parish, DPS&C, a registry, or a news office made the image.
- Check the publication date and any later correction or court order.
- Confirm release with a custody record rather than the photo caption.
- Return correction requests to the office that created the disputed record.
No commercial archive should be presumed complete, and paying a private removal service does not change the official Cameron Parish file. The official custodian and the 38th JDC record remain the controlling sources.
Cameron Mugshots After Expungement
Cameron Parish is in the single-division 38th Judicial District. The Clerk of Court maintains the durable case file, including dispositions and expungement orders. Louisiana expungement under Code of Criminal Procedure Article 971 and following is a court process with eligibility rules, forms, notice, and agency effects. Dismissal or sentence completion does not cause an automatic expungement.
An expungement or sealing order may restrict access across court and agency records, subject to the law’s exceptions. The current official order should guide any request to change access. An old cached image is not more authoritative than the court and agency records. Contact the custodian that published the image and provide the relevant order without broadcasting sensitive details.
Keep a copy of the filed order and note which Cameron Parish office received each correction or access request. Different custodians may update on different schedules.
Louisiana mugshot-publication rules have changed in recent sessions. No verified statewide anti-pay-to-remove rule supports a broad promise here. Ask the Sheriff whether the photo is maintained and public under current law, and keep government access separate from commercial republication.
